Romulo Arantes Neto, born in 1987, is a Brazilian actor and model, best known for playing the role of Andr on the Brazilian teenager soap “Malhao”.

Initially, Neto was once not destined – during his childhood – to develop into an actor but rather a swimmer, as he began frequenting swimming pools at the age of 6 months. For 13 years, he’d trained almost everyday, winning a lot of titles in junior categories before giving all of it up, to the disappointment of his father who himself was once a former swimming champion.

But Neto had goals not of podiums but of Fashion Weeks. His path changed when a scout noticed him on the beach. 40 Graus Models didn’t hesitate to sign him up, and his luck was immediate. Since then, he managed to waltz down to every runway for big fashion shows in Brazil and Europe.

Neto soon realized that he wanted to try his luck at acting. He found himself auditioning for numerous TV shows and finally, he was cast as Andre in the Brazilian cleaning soap opera for the teenage audience, “Malhao.”
