Ryan Carnes was born and raised in a small, rural community of Pitsfield, Illinois. After dedicating the simpler part of his youth to sports, music, and academia, Ryan in the end found the thespian within. With the encouragement of his present manager Jon Simmons, he made the enormous leap to Los Angeles.

Though he is straight, Ryan is relaxed taking part in gay roles. His first gay role, Ryan did full-frontal nudity in the 2004 indie gay comedy “Eating Out” directed by Allan Brocka that’s garnering just right reviews. And now, he’s screwing Bree Van de Kamp’s son (Shawn Pyfrom) on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. I have not noticed much of Mr. Carnes lately at the small or large screen, which is too bad.
