The Los Angeles Film Festival declared today that in fact Steven Soderbergh’s male-stripper drama ‘Magic Mike’ — starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, and a bunch of other hot studs — will have its world premiere as the festival’s closing-night selection. While the film’s official launch date is June 29, it really is set to be screened on the last night of the LA Film Festival, on June 24 in downtown L.A.

Without overselling it, Magic Mike might just turn up to be the sexiest film of all time.Case in point? The first shots from the set just hit, and Alex Pettyfer is already walking around shirtless in boxer briefs. Win! The 21-year-old stud kept it simple, he wore little else besides a pair of tennis sneakers. Why can’t more movies be this free-spirited on set? The actor is seen to show a fleeting moment of reticence by zipping his hoodie up, but really, that’s just part of the tease. Magic Mike is loosely based on Channing Tatum’s stripping past. Chan will appear in the film as well, along with super dudes Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer.
